The Mob

I've been missing blogging and I figured that it might be just the thing to cheer me up.
Since my own outfits have recently cosisted of flannel pyjamas and age old Faith No More T-shirts I thought that it's the perfect time to blog about my favourite subject - people who inspire me.

I don't know how many of you are familiar with Stylemob. It's an online fashion community, where people can share their looks.
Since last summer the site has grown and become a massive swamp of different styles.
To make the browsing easier I'll introduce a couple of my favourite mobbers.
(I excluded the people who are already members of wardrobe_remix or well-known fashion bloggers since I thought most of you are already acquainted with their photos. If you want to get a glimpse of all my favourite looks on Stylemob, you might want to visit my lookbook.)

Dot is the cover girl of adorableness. Every time I browse through her outfits whimsical indie rock tunes start playing inside my head - if that's not a sign of total awesomeness I don't know what is.

Kat is quite possibly the coolest person on the site. She's the goddess of perfect black and white combinations and she makes suspender skirts rock like no-one's business.

I never expect anything less than absolute perfection from Jen.
She posts not only super adorable outfits, but wonderful photographs as well.
I just love the way she pays attention to little details like scarfs to make the outfits look special.

Garconne has one of the most elegant styles I've ever seen. She can pull of anything from festive evening gowns to vintage 1940's skirts and look absolutely gorgeus while doing that.
(Plus she's wearing the sailor dress of my dreams in the first photo!)

There isn't anything I don't love about Helen's quirky style. This little Finn seems to be having fun with dressing up and in my opinion that's the most important thing about putting outfits together.
How can you not love a girl, who has dressed up as Franz Kafka?

You really can't write about Stylemob without mentioning Caitlin. This girl is on everyone's favourite list with her clean, simple and charming style.
I'm actually quite envious about the fact that she manages to look like a Marc Jacobs add in every single one of her pictures.

Awww that is so sweet, thanks! I always dress with Belle & Sebastian or Jens Lekman in my head, so the indie thing is no surprise I'm afraid.

Apparently we've got the same favourites on Stylemob, haha.

Fun site! I just joined and eek! I don't have any friends. Hope you'll be mine.

Great pictures, but how does the girl on top manage to bicycle in those very high heels? I used to have a Russian fur hat - I mean a Soviet one - similar to the one in one of these pictures, and my mum threw it to the rubbish because she thought it was so ugly! Not fair! I loved that hat. I called it Musti. Still makes me sad thinking about Musti's fate.

Great site, I didn't know about it before. Thanks for sharing! Btw, your blog is fantastic. I recently started my own, mostly because I've been inspired by yours!

Gah! Too many attractive internet girls! This is not the site to look at whilst slobbing in pyjamas. Still, they *are* quite the loveliness. Damn their beautiful eyes.

Becky.

Hey Ranna! A short article I wrote about European fashion blogs, including yours, was published in this month's BUST magazine. There's a scan of it on my blog (feel free to save it and repost it or do what you like with it!) I love your blog, keep on keepin' on!

dot dash: You do? In that case it really shows. :)
Apparently we have quite similar taste!

dlittlegarden: Of course I'll be your friend, sweetheart. :)
Nice to see you on that site too!

matroskin: It's actually quite easy. I have cycled many times with my high heels on and it isn't that hard.
Oh my, poor Musti! :O
Luckily my mother hasn't thrown any of my clothes away. But she did bin a couple of my dear Aku Ankka-magazines when I was little. I'm still a bit bitter for that. :)

the waves: No problem. In my opinion you should join too, because you have such a killer style.
It's so nice to hear that I've inspired such a wonderful blog! Keep up the great work, sweetheart. :)

wendyb: Me too!

the clothes horse: They are! And there's so many more inspiring people at Stylemob.

becky: Haha, you're right about that. :)
But I actually torture myself quite often by browsing the site in my pjs. That way I have tons of inspiration, when I start dressing up.

ringo, have a banana!: It was a lovely and such a well written article!
Thanks so much for including me. :)

jeunedamoiselle: Me too! Maybe we could raid her closet together?
I bet she wouldn't notice a thing. :)

anonymous: Yikes!

lotta: I'm glad if I provided you with a drop of new inspiration. :)

alice: The site is quite slow sometimes, because so many people are uploading pics at the same time. :/
And you're welcome! :)

lily: It is! And no problem. :)

alya: You should. The girls on that site never seize amazing me.

lola is beauty: I'm glad you've found your way here now. :)
And thanks for those lovely words!

jen: I'm so flattered that an ultra chic girl like yourself has been reading my blog!
Thanks for your lovely comment, sweetheart. It made my morning. :)
